Can not Login To Mikrotik After Upgrade To RouterOS 6.43rc17

Recently mikrotik released version routeros 6.43rc17. Where this version is the most recent version for routeros architecture mipsbe. Either this bug or its version is made in such a way, when the upgrade process is complete and running smoothly, when we try to login to mikrotik, the result always fails with notification of Error: wrong username or password , but user and password is correct.

This is what we experienced ourselves, ie can not log into mikrotik after upgrading to the routeros version mentioned above. There are no errors in the input username and password because the username and password previously been remembered.

If similar things happen to you, then do not panic, you have entered your username and password correctly, just routeros just installed in the problem.

The steps we took was: 1. hardreset mikrotik, then enter the default username and password, still can not login, maybe the same thing you also experienced. Tried again to reset a second time, the result remains the same, ie can not log into mikrotik. 2. replace the winbox application, use the lastest version, still cannot login to mikrotik


The last thing we do is to do netinstall using the previous version of routeros. If you do not know netinstall please search the tutorial on google or the official site mikrotik.

Netinstall was completed, we can login with username "admin" and password is emptied. Remember if there is failed login after upgrade routeros on mikrotik, there is only 1 way overcome that is with netinstall. Good luck.
